Kru (Os) Oswaldo
Head Kru

BIO
“We don’t just do a sport. We share an art that forges life skills and teaches you to overcome.“
Kru Os’ teaching methodology emerges from lived hardship and relentless personal evolution in Muay Thai and in life. His instructional philosophy emphasizes forging a strong foundation that fosters growth and enables one to confront challenges and adversity via discipline, resilience, and a balanced integration of belief, confidence, and humility. He dedicates himself to imparting accumulated knowledge and practical wisdom through foundational principles, helping students to achieve their own growth and transformation while honoring the art in sport, Thai cultural values, traditions, and heritage, as integral elements to the art of Muay Thai.
Kru Os’ journey demonstrates how discipline and perseverance can transform hardship into meaningful direction. Having overcome adversity from a young age, struggles such as lack of resources in his native country, immigration challenges in Canada, early parenthood, personal loss, and athletic paths such as soccer, karate, and boxing that failed to develop, all tested and forged his resilience from childhood through early adulthood. Between the ages of 19-22, he balanced multiple jobs, family obligations, and education, graduating with honors before discovering Muay Thai; an art that would become pivotal and help him attain the confidence to develop into a perpetual practitioner, family-oriented individual, influential community leader, business owner, and philanthropic contributor.
With over 15 years of Muay Thai experience, Kru Os has pursued continuous development across three fundamental dimensions—as an evolving practitioner, seasoned fighter, and respected instructor. His principal teacher for over a decade is Thai Master Ajahn Suchart Yodkerepauprai of Siam No.1, a globally recognized figure who settled in Canada in 1987 and has produced multiple National and World Champions, including Kru Os’ son, PC Rafael. Furthermore, his ongoing development continues to be shaped by world-class mentors, champions, and original students of Ajahn Suchart: Kru Yai Clifton Brown and Kru Yai Glen Goncalves.
Along his Muay Thai journey, Kru Os has instructed in various established schools of Toronto, collectively fostering transformative outcomes for diverse student populations, ranging from recreational practitioners achieving personal growth to competitive athletes securing amateur titles at local, national, and international stages. He has assisted Ajahn Suchart and Kru Yai Clifton Brown in local and international seminars, and served as guest instructor in various schools of Toronto and Mexico.
Kru Os’ competitive background spans three continents, competing under amateur, semi-pro, and professional rulesets in Canada, Mexico, and Thailand, respectively. His coaching expertise has been demonstrated at prestigious events locally and globally, including the IFMA World Youth Championships (Youth Team Canada: 2017, 2019), and international events in Mexico (2019, 2022-2024). Throughout his journey, he has also learned and trained with Muay Thai legends including notable figures such as Grandmaster Sane Tubtimtong, Samart Payakaroon, Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn, Samson Isaan, Attachai Fairtex, Burklerk Pinsinchai, Jean-Charles Skarbowsky, Tawanchai PK Saenchai, and many more.
